Divine Journey: Vaishno Devi & Srinagar from Amritsar
Day 1: Amritsar to Katra
Start early from Amritsar with a taxi or tempo traveller arranged for your journey to Katra (approx. 8–9 hours). Enjoy the scenic drive through Punjab and Jammu. Upon arrival in Katra, check into your hotel and rest. Evening is free for leisure or a short local stroll. Overnight stay in Katra.
Day 2: Vaishno Devi Darshan
After an early breakfast, begin the pilgrimage to Vaishno Devi. You can choose to trek, use palki services, or hire a taxi/tempo traveller up to parking points for convenience. Spend the day at the shrine, performing darshan and exploring nearby attractions. Return to Katra in the evening for an overnight stay.
Day 3: Katra to Srinagar
Check out from the hotel and travel to Srinagar (approx. 10–12 hours) via a comfortable taxi or tempo traveller, suitable for groups and luggage. Enjoy the picturesque route passing through Jammu and entering the Kashmir Valley. Arrive in Srinagar, check into a hotel or houseboat, and relax. Overnight stay in Srinagar.
Day 4: Srinagar Local Sightseeing
After breakfast, explore Srinagar using a taxi or a rented tempo traveller. Visit the famous Mughal Gardens – Shalimar Bagh, Nishat Bagh, and Chashme Shahi, followed by the Shankaracharya Temple for panoramic views. In the evening, enjoy a peaceful Shikara ride on Dal Lake. Overnight stay in Srinagar.
Day 5: Srinagar – Gulmarg / Pahalgam Excursion
Take a day trip from Srinagar to Gulmarg or Pahalgam using a taxi or a tempo traveller. In Gulmarg, enjoy the Gondola ride, snow activities (seasonal), or scenic walks. In Pahalgam, explore Betaab Valley and Aru Valley. Return to Srinagar by evening for an overnight stay.
Day 6: Srinagar – Leisure & Departure
Spend the morning at leisure in Srinagar. Shop for Kashmiri handicrafts, savor local cuisine, or take another Shikara ride on Dal Lake. A taxi or tempo traveller will drop you at Srinagar airport or railway station for your onward journey back to Amritsar or your next destination.
